What Vilkax can and cannot see on your devices

Every device lets Vilkax see only so much. This is what we can check on each one you use, and the steps that would let us see more.

Nothing more to turn on. Every device we know of is covered as far as it allows.

Last 30 days

Before you send money

Paying someone new, or being rushed? Tell us who you are paying. We look at what we already know about the last few hours on your account and ask a few calm questions. We never block or see the payment, and nothing you type here is stored.

Always ask my trusted person

Choose someone from your Kin who has agreed to help. Above the amount you set, "Before you send money" asks them for you. They only see the amount range, the kind of payee and any warning signs, never account numbers. Either of you can turn this off at any time.

Check a listing before you pay

Buying or selling on Vinted, Wallapop, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Craigslist, leboncoin, Kleinanzeigen, OLX or Milanuncios? Paste the link and the messages. We look for the usual lures and tell you the safest way to pay on that site. Nothing you paste is stored.

Did the bank details change?

An email saying a supplier, landlord or builder has new bank details is the most common way invoice payments are stolen. Paste the message and the new account. We check the account number's structure and country, and give you the steps to confirm it.

Crypto message or link check

Airdrop to claim, wallet to "validate", an exchange asking for a fee to withdraw, someone offering to recover lost crypto? Paste the message or link. We never connect to your wallet.

Before you sign a wallet request

Most crypto drains don't steal your keys: they ask you to approve spending. Paste what your wallet is asking you to sign, or the address you are about to send to. We only read it; we never sign or send anything, and nothing is stored.

Home network check

A browser can't see your router, so tell us what you know. "Not sure" is a fine answer. Your answers are used for this check only and are not saved.

Message analysis

Lets Vilkax check suspicious texts and links you receive before you act on them. Optional: every other feature works the same without it, and you can change this at any time.

Share with your organisation

Lets your organisation count your protection status (which shields are on, as numbers only) in its team overview. Your messages, alerts and vault are never shared. Off unless you turn it on; you can turn it off at any time.

Suggestions you turned off

Suggestions you dismissed with "Don't ask again", or declined three times, stay off unless you turn them back on here.
